HDFC Bank is one of the easiest banks for downloading statements. You can get a PDF or an Excel file depending on your preference.
Via NetBanking
Log in at netbanking.hdfcbank.com. Click on "Accounts" and then "Request." Select "Account Statement." Choose your date range and the format you want - PDF or XLS. Hit submit and the file downloads immediately.
Via HDFC Mobile Banking App
Open the app and go to your account. Tap "Statements." Select the time period and tap download. For PDF statements the file goes straight to your downloads folder.
Via email request
Send an email to your relationship manager or the bank's customer service with your account number and the period you need. HDFC typically responds within one working day with a password-protected PDF.
Password for the PDF
HDFC statement PDFs are password-protected. The default password is your customer ID followed by your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. For example: 12345678 with DOB 15 June 1990 gives password 1234567815061990.
